However, the best reason is because you can extend the usefulness of your shotgun. Study the accessory barrels below. This is the first step to finding the barrel  that you might use. You can buy a turkey barrel for spring hunts and switch back for waterfowling in the fall. All for a cost much less than a full gun. It is important to match the chamber length of the barrel to the chamber length your shotgun is designated to accept. Consult your dealer before ordering any accessory barrel.
